I worked at Dura Automotive full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Worked at a factory in Indiana. Small enough that if you had the initiative you could learn jobs in the office and on the manufacturing floor. Also liked that they shared supplier ratings and kept the employees informed of what lower ratings could mean to them and the company.

    Cons

No room for moving up in the ranks. It appeared to be a place for beginners and people wanting a place to land for retirement. Lots of Good Ole Boys. No budget for technology improvements.

    Advice to Management

    Foster talent.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Dura Automotive.

    Interview

I have received a call from the HR saying that the manager is interested in my resume and asking for y free time to schedule a telephonic interview. I have applied online and got a call in 2-3 weeks. HR sent me the Job Description and names of the candidates interviewing me.
1 Product Engineering Director, 1 Product Engineering Manager,1 Product Engineer.
The call started off on good terms and after the introductions, they have realized that they have a wrong resume,It was more than 2 years old ( When I have applied for similar roles). They have explained me about the position which was not at all mentioned in the Job Description sent by HR. I am an experienced professional in the Fields of Design and CAE of Heavy Equipment. Here starts the actual interview,
They have started going thru my resume and started asking random questions. (Which have no connection with my resume)
    1. My experience with Mechatronics Coding
    2. My Matlab Programming experience
    3. My experience in motor calculations,
    4. D.O.F of a nitrox suspension
    5. Formula for D.O.F of a 4 bar mechanism
    6. D.O.F of a 4 bar with 1 bar fixed
For some weird reason the Product Engineer asked all these questions which were not at all related to my resume.
I was completely shocked,I have realised that my interview was almost a goner and they have disconnected the call saying that they have met the stipulated time.
After 2 weeks of mail exchange I have received an email that I was not selected(and I was expecting it).
