I have been working at E-Group full-time
Very laid back, tolerant, fun, family-like corporate culture. Very flexible hours as long as you get the job done. Spacious desks and very decent work computers, good support staff, the senior managers are approachable and fun. Some very clever people.
Office building not so great, a proper kitchenette is sorely needed, there are no communal spaces which hurts communication between teams. Technology and methodology used is often fairly dated. Laid-back attitude is sometimes taken too far.
Advice to Management
Get communcal spaces going, modernize methodology and get more agile methods going. Improve intra-company communications.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at E-Group (Budapest (Hungary)) in June 2015.
A former employee recommended me, the interview was really just a chat with the CTO and the COO. Didn't have to write code or anything, it was mostly just to get to know each other: the company tends to hire anyone on a trial basis, then lets go in the first few weeks if you don't perform.
