A very unique Work Culture
Machine Tool industry is Cyclical
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at ELLISON TECHNOLOGIES, INC. (Santa Fe Springs, Los Angeles, CA) in November 2017.
I applied via my college's career website and was contacted by phone within a week. Set up a short, 15-20 minute interview with the hiring manager. Just asked about previous work history, why I was interested in the internship, etc. Very easy going and casual .
I was asked to come in for an in-person interview at the end of my phone interview. During the in-person interview, the hiring manager and the two other interns were present. Again, very casual conversation, non-interrogative and comfortable. The questions were similar to the phone interview, just asking why I was interested in the job and how I could contribute using the skills I have learned at my previous positions. They also focused a lot on asking me questions, to see if there was anything I wanted to know about the internship.
