Great concept...started out as an independent label focused music subscription service before Amazon and Spotify where on the scene.
The product was independently-minded, while the sales process was a direct marketing focused bait and switch that left many customers discovering cumulative monthly payments from a free trial they never cancelled. As you may imagine, this created a culture clash between employees "in it for the music" and those with MBAs.
