I have been working at EPAM full-time (More than 8 years)
Company provides access to different competencies as well as opportunity to work across different industries and client cultures. Still flat in a sense that top management is very aware of what's happening and who's doing what on particular implementation team level.
Company is growing very rapidly and is getting more vertical. Transforming into truly big faceless company similar to Accenture with lots of folks coming in with the mindset opposite to the one listed in Pros.
Advice to Management
Try to find a balance between vertical and flat organization
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at EPAM.
Interview process was alright. First a general 30 minute phone screen to discuss your background and your skills; after that if all is good they will schedule a 1 or 1.5 hour technical screen which can be done over webcam. So I got through the first two rounds, with positive feedback. But then after the HR recruiter tells me that the clients had suddenly changed the position and they were no longer recruiting for this particular role. With my hopes up for the role it didn't feel good. So that was that. A month later, I see a similar role being posted on job sites from EPAM in the same geographic location. Honestly, they shouldn't waste candidates time if they are eventually going to change the roles. Either they weren't being upfront about my interview results or they just need to get their act straight.
EPAM again ranks on Forbes' List of 25 Fastest Growing Public Tech Companies! EPAM is one of only four companies, the other three being Facebook, Alphabet, and Fortinet, to make repeat appearances on each of the lists published by Forbes.
