I worked at EQECAT full-time (More than 3 years)
-smart, committed, friendly people
-small enough for your voice to be "heard"
-bureaucracies related to the parent organization
-groups are somewhat in "silos," so cooperation is less fruitful than it could be
Advice to Management
your core competency is in the models, not the platform! figure out how to capitalize on technical prominence even if it means abandoning other products.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took a week. I interviewed at EQECAT (San Francisco, CA).
1 screening phone interview (no technical questions). 2 phone interviews plus one presentation at their office. first phone interview was about general knowledge of structural engineering, building quality, building codes. second was about specific questions.
