Mission: ETR is a behavioral health non-profit devoted to providing science-based programs and services, driven by our mission to advance health and opportunities for youth and families.
I have been working at ETR Associates full-time (More than 10 years)
Excellent executive leadership, some impressive strategic planning, a sense of hope and commitment about doing meaningful work that makes a difference. Positive climate, some flexibility on work hours and location (depending on job). The people who work at ETR are among the best in their fields and the positive collegiality and collaboration make ETR a cool place to work.
Like lots of non-profits, ETR had a tough time during the great recession. Many layoffs. I had conflicts with the leadership at that time. Today, we have a new CEO and good energy about moving to the future. Much more strength and commitment to the mission now.
Advice to Management
Keep doing the good work to sustain and build a positive work climate, keep up the work on inclusion.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ETR Associates.
I submitted by application (resume and cover letter) and within two weeks I received an email about setting up a phone interview. I had a phone interview 1 on 1 with one of the research assistants. They asked general interview questions, covering my previous experience and interest in the field and type of work. I thought it was a non-intimidating and easy going interview. It lasted an hour, although we got to chatting a bit about other related topics after the interview bit was finished. Have questions prepared to ask them! That seemed to impress the person I spoke with. Within two weeks, I had an answer which came through email
