  • Our thoughts are with those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Please join EVRAZ NA in making donations to the American Red Cross - every little bit helps!

  • The 2017 Ride to Conquer Cancer lasted for two days (a lengthy 230 kilometers) and took place August 12-13th in the Alberta foothills. The 1,500+ riders collectively raised $6.7 million for cancer research. Team EVRAZ (comprised of 20+ riders from Calgary, Red Deer, Camrose, and Regina) collectively raised close to $140,000…the 7th highest for team fundraising! We were proud to represent North America and our fellow EVRAZ employees throughout this incredible, humbling event. A big shout out to the fantastic volunteers who supported Team EVRAZ by assisting local fundraising activities leading up to the event and by cheering our riders on from the sidelines! Congratulations and thank you to all our team members and volunteers for their efforts!

Our products are made from recycled metal scrap, and EVRAZ melts more than 2.5 million tons of it each year to make our steel. Our facilities are efficient and safe, and we’re an important contributor to the social well-being of the communities where we operate.  Through our Reading Sparks™ children’s literacy program, established in the fall of 2012, we  have donated more than 20,000 books, established Book Nooks in school, community and family centers, and supported literacy programs in over 45 elementary schools. We also fund scholarships and apprenticeship trades programs, helping deserving students reach their potential and raising the standard of business and technical education in our manufacturing communities.

By its very nature, steel manufacturing is a dangerous endeavor. From day one on the job, our employees know that safety is a responsibility that’s shared by everyone. Exceeding national industry standards isn’t enough—our ultimate goal is zero accidents.

    Pros

    The company provides a lot of learning opportunity and career development. You have great access to executive management.

    Cons

    The industry is cyclical, which will impact bonus compensation. The company does not have advanced systems. Most work is conducted in excel, but detailed templates is valuable to learn the business.
