I worked at EarthLink full-time (Less than a year)
Relaxed environment most of the time. Allowed plenty of latitude to take care of the customer. Decent product and had purchased many other telecommunications companies.
There is almost no accountability between departments of this company. Everything seems to be handled by email, but keeping up with a chain is almost impossible since so many departments are involved. There were times that I would have to go through one hundred emails in a chain to resolve anything for the customer.
Advice to Management
Stop making decisions to change things without considering the outcome of the decisions. Change the people making the decisions.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at EarthLink.
Submitted an external application and was emailed to schedule for an interview a week later. The interview process consisted of an application review and a face-to-face meeting. The floor supervisors, who also conducting the interview, were very personable and straightforward about the position duties/daily routine.
