Voices of Eastman highlights current and former employees and the personal and professional experiences that made an impact on them, Eastman, and their communities. "Our 100-year history is rich with stories from the people who've been at the center of our success," said Betty Payne, Director, Corporate Communications. "This podcast is a new and exciting channel for sharing those stories and celebrating the values that guided our past and will shape our future." The "Voices of Eastman" podcast is available for listening via SoundCloud, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Play, TuneIn, iHeartRadio and Stitcher. New episodes will be published bi-weekly.

Eastman's student programs for cooperative education and internships offer practical application of academic course work. The projects completed offer valuable experience and make a real difference in Eastman's continued success.  

Our programs include cooperative education for students majoring in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering. And internships are typically offered in the summer to students in engineering (chemical, electrical, mechanical, and industrial, accounting, information technology, supply chain, and more. Additionally, MBA students can find student stimulating opportunities in finance, accounting, and marketing.

Technicians work under the general direction of engineers, chemists, computer scientists, and microbiologists. Depending on the responsibilities, possible projects may include troubleshooting, configuring, and repairing a variety of complex electronic equipment; developing, designing, and preparing drawings required to complete plant modifications and improvement projects; conducting technical experiments and projects involving method or process research, development, and improvement; instrument and equipment design; preparing regulatory reports and operating reports for the State or Environmental Protection agency, conducting audits, and calculating statistical control limits; leading and participating on multi-disciplinary teams; documenting experimental work and writing technical and invention reports.

    Standard two-tier interview process consisting of phone interview, then on-site interviews with various team members. The interview and on-boarding process overall was spectacularly slow in my opinion. Roughly six or seven months from application to first day.
