With our services, digital content can be delivered with enhanced performance and lower latency to any device, anywhere.
We maintain that innovation is possible only when a company moves as fast as the technology driving data today. At EdgeConneX, we’re keeping pace. Since late 2013, we have built 23 Edge Data Centers® across the US, creating a new Edge of the Internet. EdgeConneX moved the Internet to where it is most needed, yet has never existed before – into local markets across the country and soon the globe. We recognize that insatiable demand for content continues to swell each day and that quality delivery of this content requires an Internet of Everywhere mentality. In 2016, EdgeConneX plans to add several new Edge Data Centers abroad, beginning with one in Amsterdam. These efforts represent our continued commitment to satisfy the global appetite for latency sensitive and bandwidth intensive content.
In addition to our rapidly growing portfolio of Edge Data Centers, EdgeConneX has also deployed more than 3,000 national locations across our Edge Wireless and Edge Pop portfolio. We manage a proprietary database of 4 million buildings, 14 million businesses and 200,000 cell towers that we collectively use in partnership with our customers to determine the most optimal site for our next build.

Edge Data Centers (EDC) are purpose-built for sophisticated users of space and power to enable the distribution of content at the edge. Our facilities are designed to support extremely high power densities and our simplified per kW pricing is designed to support the needs of the Internet's fastest growing users. Every EDC is capable of 20+kW per rack or cabinet and 600 watts per square foot. Our National operating model and facilities are SOC 2 - Type 2, PCI-DSS and HIPAA certified annually. Remote hands resources are available at all of our EDC locations and we provide a convenient customer workspace that is visible and accessible from the secured white space. All EDC locations also offer fiber diversity, including network, building access, conduit system, and carrier. Our next generation data center operating system, EdgeOS, was custom built to enable a single secure view into your infrastructure across our national footprint. In addition to enhanced EDC visibility, our EdgeOS boosts the effectiveness of alarming, monitoring, ticketing, network and capacity management. EdgeConneX customers have 24/7 visibility into their space, power and connectivity to enable their business and end user experience.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at EdgeConneX (Denver, CO) in May 2015.
One in-person interview with three different employees. First interview with the HR manager, second interview with head of the Denver office, and final interview with a member of the team I joined. Took an hour total. No tricky questions, were looking for basic knowledge on telecom and the technology field.
