"Great place to be"
Pros
1. Flexible PTO that allows employees to have a good work/life balance. 2. Friendly leadership and team members that want the best for everyone. 3. Amazing product that is doing its part to supportCons
1. Culture is lacking. As a fully-remote company, we rarely get together (if at all) and don't have systems in place for this to happen. 2. Growing pains: we are growing so fast that processes aren'tAdvice to Management
Start prioritizing ways for team/organization culture to take place via on-site meet-ups. Without this, employees will continue to feel disconnected.Edpuzzle Interviews
Sales Interview

Had an initial screening that was very warm and pleasant. They asked the regular questions around background and culture. Also included some behavioral/situational questions, like tell me about a time that you made a mistake, etc. They explained that the rest of the candidate selection process would include 5 other steps that included other interviews and a take home challenge/assignment. While these type of lengthy candidate selections are still common in the industry, they're becoming highly frowned upon - particularly the assignments. It shows a lack of care for the candidates. Also, such a lengthy interview process means a really long time-to-hire. I imagine Edpuzzle sees a lot of drop off during the selection process and they're probably missing out on the best talent this way.
The second interview was very disappointing. This person was scattered and distracted, often checking their cell phone. As a seasoned salesperson, I had questions about how the role and sales team is structured and those questions were answered with a defensive and condescending tone. There didn't seem to be much research put into the creation of this role. There were no numbers to support success in this role. I withdrew my candidacy immediately following this interview. This company will have a hard time recruiting candidates for their sales roles who have a true sellers heart and business intelligence.InterviewOutlined in the interview process
