  1. Executive Assistant Interview

    Easy Interview

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Education First (United States) in Jul 2021

The process is laid out in a pretty straightforward way on their website which is nice. There's a screening interview with HR, then a task assessment, then interviews.
Because of Ed First's reputation, I was really expecting a positive, innovative experience with unique questions and a DEI-focused approach. Instead the HR screening felt like I was talking to a wall, with super basic questions that didn't allow applicants to shine. Ed First seems to draw people who have a personal connection to their mission, but the interview gave no space for that. In my case, the HR person had very obviously checked out of the interview after about 10 minutes.
If Ed First is really dedicated to equity, I'd advise them to revisit their hiring process to make applicants feel welcomed and embrace applicants of a variety of backgrounds and experiences. They seem to talk the talk about DEI (and pettily I notice that they only added a statement about it last summer) but still use the same tired HR practices that cater to white, middle-class people.

Super basic: tell me about yourself, three words to describe yourself, why you're leaving your current position, systems you use, etc.
