Great pay structure! Flexible schedule if you are hitting quota. Great money, if you are a producer, which is how it should be. Benefits package is awesome. The work/life balance is great, if you're a producer. Really, you can set your own pay based on the compensation plan and how much you want to work. The more you work, the more you'll make based on the compensation plan, if you can sell.
Dependable company for pay structure.
Chargebacks, although there are few, we are charged back the full amount within a 90 day window for all products sold other than processing.
Not many cons.
Advice to Management
Chargebacks, although there are few, those of us who sell the product, train the customer, and spend our time and expenses to do this, should not be charged back the whole amount. 90 days is a good rule of thumb but maybe you should consider a sliding scale. If customer cancels after 30 days, we get charged back 80 percent, after 60 days 50 percent after 90 days nothing (like you do). It does take our time and resources to sell and train, unfortunately, we can do everything right and circumstances out of our control cause a customer to cancel. Just a thought for you to consider. As sales reps, we shouldn't be at the mercy of the customer through a 90 days period. We should focus on new business for EMS and ourselves.
Consider focus groups at remote locations to see how management is treating employees and improvements that can be made. Or calls to various, random employees, and check up on moral of office. See if you can get feedback from new reps and office personnel. Maybe even send out a survey that is private and anonymous to employees, all employees new and old, at the remote offices, Surveys should include info about the management, upper management, training, and flow of orders, flow of install, etc, it would probably give you lots of insight to the moral of the office. Happy employees, will lead to more productivity and longevity. Which I feel sure you want. No company or employee is perfect, but feedback from all would help you gage an office you are not physically in due to proximity.
I applied online. I interviewed at Electronic Merchant Systems (Cleveland, OH) in March 2017.
A lot of standard design questions were asked, the nature of the interview was relaxed. I sat in front of a panel of 3 other creative service team members who all asked questions.
