Elevate K-12 – Why Work With Us?

Elevate K-12 is a company disrupting the way we approach instruction. There is a teacher shortage crisis across the US, and the hardest hit are students in low income and rural areas. Elevate K-12 has found a way to bring high-quality, live streaming instruction to these students while providing teaching opportunities to qualified teachers across the country. Join our team and start making a difference today.

Districts across the country partner with Elevate K-12 to fill their high-quality teacher vacancies and solve their low-quality instruction challenges. Elevate K-12 brings high-quality live streaming online instruction into a school’s classroom. We own the full classroom experience, from setup and daily instruction to student assessments and reporting.

Our Live Streaming Instructors are rockstars. Many of them have advanced degrees in the areas they are teaching to provide students with high-quality instruction. They are passionate about education and making a difference in the lives of children. The Elevate K-12 ecosystem makes it possible for these educators to connect to students located in schools all over the country, sometimes thousands of miles away from them.

Classroom Coaches are mainly responsible for...you guessed it, classroom management. They are the people in the room with our students during their lessons. These individuals are vital to the success of our programs because they set the tone and create a classroom culture where students feel supported and capable of success.

Elevate K-12 is a global company with offices in Chicago and Mumbai, in addition to remote staff across the country. Due to the international nature of the company, technology is the cornerstone in keeping operations running smoothly. As far as EdTech goes, Elevate K-12 walks the walk.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Elevate K-12 (Chicago, IL) in February 2020.

    Interview

The recruiter is somewhat disorganized, changing interview times and not providing clear next steps.
It was important that their sales rep come into the office daily if not meeting clients. I can only imagine the requirement of being at the office ensures you are working “diligently” from 8-5 CST. Don’t you dare try to cheat us out of 40 hours weekly!
Anyone that has spent time in edtech sales knows the cadence for prospecting involves limited touches and persistence over time. You cannot simply cold call a Rolodex every week all day and not expect the decision makers to find your approach aggressive and off putting.
This company continually advertises for the same role so I assume their sales folks are not successful due to this reliance on micromanagement. I wish them luck trying to solve this Gordian knot. :)

    Interview Questions

    • Will you be comfortable coming to the office so we can micromanage you and ensure we get our 40 hours from you every week?   1 Answer
