Mission: We make medicines that help people live longer, healthier, more active lives.
We were founded in 1876 by Colonel Eli Lilly, a man committed to creating high-quality medicines that met real needs in an era of unreliable elixirs peddled by questionable characters. His charge to the generations of employees who have followed was this: “Take what you find here and make it better and better.”
More than 140 years later, we remain committed to his vision through every aspect of our business and the people we serve starting with those who take our medicines, and extending to health care professionals, employees and the communities in which we live.
Three long established core values guide Lilly in all that we do:
For more than a century, we have united caring with discovery to make life better. We continuously focus on new and innovative ways to fulfill our extraordinary purpose of making medicines that help people live longer, healthier, more active lives. We invite you to explore opportunities with Lilly and how we can work together to make life better for people around the world.
I worked at Eli Lilly and Company (More than 3 years)
Highly experienced device group,
they build their own products,
highly crossfunctional (several groups are in the device area and are co-located)
investment in innovation,
top management buy in for usability and new ideas,
the culture I experienced allows employees to create their own strategies and treats them as an expert.
People can have a hard time "staying in their lane" and insist on being involved in activities or decisions not relevant to their role.
Not a con, but you have to continuously communicate and involve several cross functions to be successful
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Eli Lilly and Company (Indianapolis, IN) in July 2009.
The organization will ask you questions in regards to your computer experience, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.
Worked there via a contractor.
