I worked at Elster Solutions full-time (More than 5 years)
Pay was ok, people were friendly initially.
Company was bought out, almost everyone In the US portion of this company was laid off. There was a huge disconnect between the top, and management and all the way down. Many times we were unable to get answers, materials, or even direction from management which led to awkward and negative interactions with customers.
Advice to Management
Retain talent, build infrastructure, and support your employees.
I applied online. I interviewed at Elster Solutions (Raleigh, NC).
I was contacted by a HR rep after applying online. I went through a conference phone interview with the HR rep and two other engineers from the verification department. They called me in for on-site interviews where I had 2 hour-long interviews with 2 people each. They contacted me after 1-2 weeks with an offer. They asked basic behavioral based questions with one or two technical questions.
Reasons for Declining
The offer was significantly lower than what I wanted to make as a contracted employee.
