I have been working at Empire Today full-time (More than a year)
A brand held positively in many hearts. Exciting new, and exclusive products. Consistent nation-wide expansion into new markets. A Board of Directors and Executive Team committed to employee engagement and customer satisfaction. Many projects in the works to improve operational processes and in turn improve the experiences of employees and contractors. Many tenured employees make the work environment feel family-like. A renewed energy and focus on learning and development is creating many new professional development opportunities for everyone in the company. Competitive compensation, great benefits, and flexible working opportunities.
The facilities are a little dated and crowded, but there is freedom to decorate office space to make it feel more comfortable. Dated systems and processes makes unnecessary manual work for many people - but a huge organization-wide ERP implementation will remedy many of these issues. There are business silo challenges but a renewed focus on employee engagement and new HR projects focusing on transparency and cross-functional collaboration are breaking these down.
Advice to Management
Stay committed to current organizational goals. Continue listening to and acting on fresh new ideas. And remember we are one company with one mission and we must work together, everyday, to reach it.
The process took 3+ weeks. I interviewed at Empire Today (New York, NY).
Received an email to set up a phone screening. I set the date and time. They agreed. After screening they set up an interview for two days after. I was schedule to meet with the hiring personnel but on arrival I was brought to a conference room and met with the Branch Manager and the hiring manager.
