I have been working at Engenderhealth full-time

Long history, respected thought leader in SRH field, provides professional development opportunities for staff, collaborative partner. Currently making bold and brave changes in response to changing external environment in order to remain relevant.

    Cons

Can be better at marketing organization's great work.

    Advice to Management

As a long time employee of EngenderHealth I have been through many CEO transitions and major organizational changes, including restructures. I know first-hand how stressful these transitions and changes can be on people. Other sister organizations have been going through similar changes recently which suggests our sector is responding to broader external shifts beyond our control. I think EngenderHealth is responding in a bold and brave fashion in order to stay relevant. The current organizational transition is complicated by union negotiations contributing to more tension between management and staff. Recently, significant progress has been with the negotiations and the working environment in our headquarters has shifted in a positive direction. This is heartening and I am hopeful that the new tone set by the interim CEO will ensure staff and management continue to collaborate in a productive manner, during the ongoing transition, to deliver on our important Mission with minimal disruptions in programs and services. Equally important is continuing to treat those most affected by the changes with dignity and respect. This is in keeping with the EngenderHealth I have dedicated many years of my professional life working.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Engenderhealth (New York, NY) in February 2017.

    Interview

After a brief phone interview with an HR representative, I was invited for an in-office interview with the hiring managers. I was then offered the position within a week and worked with HR to complete on-boarding paperwork.
