I have been working at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center full-time (More than 5 years)
Super Inexpensive medical, dental, vision. Six Paid holidays for 12 hour employees and a good amount vacation that you can roll over year to year, plus separate sick time. Because it's not so big, the main OR is a pretty close knit group. This is especially true for cardiac surgery, which I love. Hospital administration does a good job of taking care of employees required to be at work during snow storms, offering meal vouchers and such in the cafe.
Cardiac techs and nurses float to general surgery, but do NOT get paid extra. Base pay is one of, if not THE lowest in the area.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center (Englewood, NJ) in July 2014.
I applied, got called in for an interview the next day, then got hired on the spot. Overall it was a very easy process. My friend referred me which probably made the hiring process easier.
