I have been working at Entelect full-time (More than 5 years)
Diverse working teams, the makeup of the team is good for working through our backlog together.
I also work with some interesting personalities, not robots. I enjoy some of our social events... the Entelect board game meetups are great fun!
I'm surrounded by like-minded individuals who all share the same tech passion.
Learning is important, lots of peer-driven events (dojos, beer 'n tech,
Shared responsibilities and a good level of technical ownership in our work.
Management regularly spends time with our team, shows an interest assisting with solving problems and connecting us with the people on other projects that have already solved it!
The business focus is aligned to professional services and big projects that we can sink our teeth into. I suppose that's where the most innovation is happening right now.
Learning to adapt quickly and move at pace and deliver quality software has been hard, but has been a real learning experience.
Advice to Management
Never let go of your hiring principles, I enjoy working with smart people who challenge me to be better.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Entelect (Johannesburg (South Africa)) in September 2014.
One on one where the interviewer tests your thought process more than technical knowledge, but they do ask very tough technical questions as well. They focus on how well you copt under stress.
