Operated by Enterprise Holdings, we’re a family-owned, privately held company belonging to a world-class portfolio of brands that includes Alamo Rent A Car and National Car Rental. Since we opened our doors 60 years ago, our singular focus has been supporting each other, so we can best serve our customers and grow our brands. Today, we’re known for our extraordinary level of customer service at our more than 7,600 global Enterprise Rent-A-Car neighborhood and airport locations.
Some 100,000 dedicated team members sharing common values. And more than 1.9 million vehicles taking our customers wherever they need to go. And with the constant evolution of our industry, we continue to grow our business – and add to our variety of career opportunities.
Our people are the reason for our success. By living out our values each day and providing exceptional customer service, we’ve built a strong culture – one in which we bring honesty and integrity to all we do.
Our Founding Values:
From day one, you’ll be given real responsibility – and be expected to own it. You’ll take care of customers, connect with your community and live our values. And you’ll learn what it takes to manage a multimillion-dollar business. That’s just the beginning of how we can take your career further.
As a Management Trainee, the skills and experience you gain will be the foundation of your career. We have the training and support you need at every step of the way.
We’ll start you out close to home at one of our neighborhood locations. You’ll build relationships with coworkers, customers and mentors. You’ll learn everything from how to exceed our customers’ expectations, to the principles of accounting. You’ll also help grow the business by building relationships with local businesses, as well as learn how to manage a team of people and a fleet of hundreds of vehicles.
As a Management Trainee, the more you put into the program, the more you’ll get out of it. We promote from within, based on performance. Not seniority. See our promote-from-within philosophy in action.
For more than a decade, Enterprise Rent-A-Car has been recognized as one of the largest recruiters of college graduates in the US. We’re a proven training ground – with amazing ground-floor opportunities that have corner office potential. From day one, you'll learn our business, and make decisions that have an impact. This is your chance to make a difference from the word GO.
As an intern, you’ll gain the real-world experience you need to stand out from the crowd. Learn more about our internship opportunities.
You’ll see it through company support -- such as our pledge to donate $60 million to fight hunger -- and in how we encourage each of our employees to make a positive impact in the neighborhoods where we do business.

I have been working at Enterprise full-time (More than 5 years)
I have worked at Enterprise for 6 years now, and all 6 have been nothing short of rewarding. From the time I started all the way through present time, Enterprise has given me the tools to be successful and rewarded my hard work with the recognition and promotions befit of it. Enterprise is the only company that I know of that only promotes from within while allowing their employees to earn a 6 figure pay based directly off of the hard work and dedication to performance the employee puts forth. And because of promoting only from within, a sense of a fun competitive atmosphere is always present in the branches.
The cons are limited do to each individuals ideas of importance. For some, work/life balance may be an issue. For others this is not the case. A lot of the perceived cons stem from the branches ability, or lack there of, to properly organize their day and prioritize what is urgent and important. We are also a performance based company, so the ones who are always driven to be the best, tend to put a lot more stress on themselves to perform at a level that is required to be the best.
Advice to Management
Consistency is key. As long as we hold our values and policies as a top priority, being fair and balanced across the board, our employees and company will always reap the benefits.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Enterprise.
Brief phone screen followed by two in person interviews. The second is make or break the third is more of a formality. It seemed as though the recruiter was focused more on how you can hold a conversation. The position is based very heavily in sales in customer service so interpersonal skills are a must which would explain the structure of the interview. Expect several behavioral and situation based questions.
