With a global network that spans more than 90 countries, and with 100,000 team members, it’s also how we’ve become the largest transportation service provider in the world. And as a family-owned, privately held company, we make decisions based on the long-term, sustainable growth of our brands – world-class brands that include Alamo Rent A Car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental. That kind of success leads to amazing opportunities when you join our team.
By living out our values each day and providing exceptional customer service, we’ve built a strong culture – one in which we bring honesty and integrity to all we do. We work hard, but never forget to have a little fun in the process. For 60 years, our values have been at the root of our success as a team and as individuals.
Our Founding Values:
You’ll see it through company support -- such as our pledge to donate $60 million to fight hunger -- and in how we encourage each of our employees to make a positive impact in the neighborhoods where we do business. Our ongoing philanthropic initiatives include:
From day one, you’ll be given real responsibility – and be expected to own it. You’ll take care of customers, connect with your community and live our values. And you’ll learn what it takes to manage a multimillion-dollar business. That’s just the beginning of how we can take your career further.
As a Management Trainee, the skills and experience you gain will be the foundation of your career. We have the training and support you need at every step of the way.
We’ll start you out close to home at one of our neighborhood locations. You’ll build relationships with co-workers, customers and mentors. You’ll learn everything from how to exceed our customers’ expectations, to the principles of accounting. You’ll also help grow the business by building relationships with local businesses, as well as learn how to manage a team of people and a fleet of hundreds of vehicles.
As a Management Trainee, the more you put into the program, the more you’ll get out of it. We promote from within, based on performance. Not seniority. See our promote-from-within philosophy in action.
We strive to exceed our customers’ expectations in service, quality and value. Our customers are as varied as our brands. So we have a range of services to match their changing transportation needs. And as our lines of business continue to expand, they create a variety of amazing opportunities for you when you join our team.

I have been working at Enterprise Holdings full-time (More than 10 years)
Pros
1. The Employees
2. Senior Leadership
3. Opportunities for Advancement
4. Training/Development
5. Pay
Most people who work at Enterprise will tell you that the people are the best part about the company and I completely agree. I have met so many great people at Enterprise and continue to be friends with them even after some have left the company. Furthermore, the upper management has high expectations, but also compassion for employees personally and professionally. Since the company is privately held the Taylor family continues to reinvest and make excellent long term decisions to help provide opportunity for everyone. The advancement opportunities, development and training are second to none. At every single level you continue to learn more about managing people and a business. The pay advancement is phenomenal.
Cons
Many people say long hours...However, if you want to advance your career and have financial independence that does take work ethic. The hours it takes to advance your pay at Enterprise when compared to similar financial opportunities in other jobs does not compare. The hours worked by management are between 50-55 a week typically. Having six and seven figure annual pay opportunities with no financial risk on your part make these hours seem extremely fair. If you were an entrepreneur, restaurant owner, lawyer or doctor you would not only be working many more hours, but also have greater debt and financial exposure.
Application
I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Enterprise Holdings (New York, NY) in April 2018.
Interview
Sent my resume and heard back within a week to schedule the first interview which was at one of heir executive buildings, which was pretty hard to find and very difficult to get to via public transportation. Very little information given on what the interview would be like.
