With decades of experience in the industry, our Principals founded EK in order to fill a glaring gap in the industry. All too often, organizations experience their Knowledge and Information Management initiatives failing because they are overly complex or do not address the specific needs of the organization and its end users. At EK, we focus on practical and proven solutions. We know how to engage your end users to ensure the systems are designed for them, to truly address their needs. We will work as your trusted partner to not only find the best solution, but the most achievable as well.

Our company is named “Enterprise Knowledge” to represent the value of the full breadth of an organization’s information and knowledge, ranging from the tacit experiences of their employees to explicit documents and records. Success for EK means helping your organization to harness the full spectrum of knowledge so that your information can be efficiently found, used, and reused. Our mission is to provide practical and actionable consulting services, allowing us to solve problems and address challenges for our customers. Our services allow organizations to maximize their information assets through practical solutions that provide measurable value.

Our clients include executive leadership, technology professionals, and marketing managers throughout the public and private sector. We are a registered small business to work directly for the federal government but also count a host of Fortune 500 companies, global non-profits, non-governmental organizations, and dynamic private businesses amongst our clients.

How We Work

Above all else, EK operates based on a foundation of agile collaboration. We recognize we are at our best when we’re working together to address our clients’ challenges, offering integrated solutions that pull from our combined experience and independent thinking.

We conduct bi-weekly knowledge sharing sessions with our team, where team members share their expertise or our partners brief us on new technologies or methodologies.

We also maintain an employee to employee recognition program, so that all members of our team have the opportunity to actively recognize and thank exceptional collaboration, support, or leadership from their colleagues. This, of course, is also reflected in EK’s compensation policy and bonus program.

We complement these efforts with frequent off-sites and social gatherings to ensure everyone has the opportunity to build supportive and collaborative team member relationships.

Innovation is another core element to how we work. Every member of our team is encouraged to surface new ideas and try new things. EK maintains a budget to experiment with new tools, technologies, and methodologies to ensure our team members continue to learn and we can present the latest innovations to our clients. All members of the team are encouraged to experiment with new tools and techniques and are rewarded for surfacing new ideas.

We supplement these social learning opportunities with a dedicated and guaranteed training budget for each member of our team, to ensure everyone has the continued opportunity to learn and grow.

Additional Benefits EK Offers for Employees

  • Commuter Transportation Benefits-
    EK supports and believes in initiatives that help conserve resources and have a positive impact on our environment. Commuter Benefits let employees contribute pre-tax dollars into an account that can be used to pay for commuting (mass-transit and parking) costs. By using pre-tax dollars, you can save ~ 40% on these expenses. Employees can set aside $130 for mass transit and $250 towards parking each month.

  • Electric or Hybrid Vehicle Benefits-
    Employees who have been with EK for more than one year will be reimbursed up to $3,000 for the purchase of an electric or hybrid vehicle.
    Client Parking Reimbursement

  • Company Cell Phones-
    EK provides the option for employees to use their own personal phone and receive a monthly reimbursement. Employees are also able to apply to receive a company cell-phone.

Enterprise Knowledge’s state of the art headquarters opened in the heart of Arlington, VA in 2016. Enterprise Knowledge provides employees the opportunity to participate in quarterly offsites. Employees are encouraged to contribute offsite ideas, to ensure events are truly a rewarding experience.

Though their official title is consultant, we more often refer to our team members as Rock Stars or Superheroes. Our team members represent a diverse array of experiences, backgrounds, and areas of interest.

The work I do gives me the opportunity to work with experts in a variety of fields. It is never boring and no two projects are the same. I feel it helps me grow as a professional and as a person.

EK is efficient and effective in the ways that we help our clients manage their knowledge. We use best practices and creative strategies to build solutions that will empower our clients to answer business problems. We are different from other IT consulting companies because we foster independence with the solutions we provide.

    Pros

    - Amazing (and smart!) colleagues, who are always willing to help you out
    - Supportive leaders
    - Annual Training Budget
    - Fantastic Office Space in the middle of Clarendon
    - Healthy work environment
    - Positive culture (yes, I look forward to going to work on Mondays!)
    - Employees are clearly valued

    Cons

    - We are growing quickly; making it difficult at times to find a meeting room/office space
    - sometimes the office can be a bit empty, because everyone is with clients
    - There isn't much to say about Cons here-

    Advice to Management

    Zach and Joe are fantastic leaders who have cultivated a positive work culture and picked the brightest and most collaborative employees to work here. As we get bigger, please continue to maintain the small business atmosphere!
