Service Award Program
The purpose of the Service Award Program is to recognize employees for their continued loyalty, dedication, and service to Equity Trust Company. After reaching “Milestone” achievement years, Equity Trust Company recognizes employees’ contributions with small gifts based on the employees’ preferences.
First Class Postcard Program
First Class Postcards are designed to recognize employees who have gone the extra mile by helping our company exceed expectations.  Employees are given a First Class Postcard highlighting their awesome achievements during daily line-up meetings.
Daily Line-Up Success Stories
Each morning our employees come together to share the daily news throughout the company. In Daily Line-Up meetings employees are highlighted by a peer for demonstrating a company core value. These meetings are also a great way to learn about upcoming events.
Shining Star Award
The Shining Star Program invites employees to recognize and nominate a peer who has made significant contributions to the mission, vision, and goals of the company. The Quarterly Shining Star winner is announced and highlighted at our corporate Quarterly Meeting. At the end of each year, all Quarterly Shining Star winners are nominated for the Annual Shining Star award. The Quarterly Shining Star winners receive a monetary gift and a half day off with pay. The Annual Shining Star winner receives a monetary gift and a full day off with pay.

This past year, Equity Trust Company paired with BVU (Business Volunteers Unlimited), the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, an organization that helps engage employees in community service. As a member, BVU is assisting us in connecting with a variety of volunteer opportunities; including hands on volunteer projects for groups and individuals, pro-bono skills-based consulting, and nonprofit board and committee roles. Equity Trust has put together a committee of 15-20 employees that organizes and communicates all community outreach projects. Prior to joining BVU and establishing a committee, our Ambassador of Culture was taking on the responsibility of arranging all of our community efforts. Equity Trust had so many organizations and events on our plate that we decided to expand our efforts to a larger spectrum.

Some of our community efforts in the past have included: Adopt a Soldier, Elyria Relay for Life, Boys and Girls Club, Cleveland School Supply Drive, Junior Achievement, Toys for Tots, Canned Food Drive, Hurricane Sandy Victim Relief, Christmas Toy Drive, Families of South Africa Relief, and our annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive with St. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church. This past year we had 90+ employees bake over 120 turkeys to donate for Thanksgiving.

    I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Equity Trust Company (Westlake, OH) in April 2014.


    Sat in the lobby for a few minutes reading the Wall Street Journal before the Senior Recruiter took me to a meeting room. The interview was a group interview with two different rounds. It was relatively straight forward. I was asked a bit about my background, experience, and goals/expectations with my career path. Second round of the interview was more focused on leadership qualities and experience.
