Challenging industry with a limited customer base consisting mainly of large CPG companies who hold significant leverage over their suppliers. Although there are only a handful of major competitors, all are vying for the same client base making this a low margin business.
Advice to Management
Focus on the core business and continue to work on and invest in processes and systems that enable you to consistently deliver the quality and quantity demanded by customers. Once the core business (toothpaste tubes) is right, then invest in and build up capability that will pave the way into the higher margin categories.
