I have been working at Essex Property Trust full-time (More than 3 years)
I have been in the multi family industry for approx. 17 years. Worked for ASN and AVB in the past. Essex is on par with those other two and excels in some areas over both. I am valued, respected, well compensated and I am able to do my job with minimal red tape. I work with some very talented people and value these relationships. I feel as if I have found my home. When ASN was bought out I did not know if I was going to find that again. I hope to be with Essex until I am ready to retire.

Advice to Management
I trust in the Sr. Leadership and would not be so arrogant as to give them advice. I am quite sure that their jobs are harder than anyone can imagine. Certainly harder than mine.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Essex Property Trust (Seattle, WA) in July 2017.
Online application, followed by an in person interview which was followed up by another manager's interview. Apparently there is some in-company variation here. There is then a drug and a background check. Nobody called my references, it seems.
