Innovation is at the Heart of Everything We Do

In our three Centers for Innovation and Technology based in Cretil, France; Dallas, Texas and Singapore, more than 550 researchers work in partnership to improve our products in terms of vision correction and protection while creating value in new segments.

Pioneers in Optical Lenses

We are intensely dedicated to research and development to provide innovative lens solutions that help the world see better. As pioneers, 40% of our revenue is generated from products less than four years old. Over the years we’ve revolutionized the treatment of common vision problems – notably, our development of the progressive lens.

Progressive Advancements

Varilux® , the world’s leading progressive lens, is the most technologically advanced solution for presbyopia, an age-related condition that results in farsightedness. Varilux lenses enable wearers to see near, far and in-between without the traditional lines found in bifocals that tend to age a consumer.

Superior No-Glare Solutions

Crizal® lenses are specially designed using revolutionary technology and offer wearers the #1 recommended brand of no-glare lenses in the U.S. for the most comprehensive protection.

The First Adaptive Lens

We also pioneered the use of plastic and lightweight lenses and together with our joint venture partner, PPG Industries, created Transitions® adaptive lenses® - the first lightweight plastic photochromic lenses ever sold. They appear clear indoors and automatically darken outdoors in sunlight.

We’re proud that Essilor leads with inclusion and diversity. Our goal is to create an environment where people love their work, and where all of our employees know they make a real difference through their ingenuity, creativity and drive. Our employees’ commitment encourages teamwork and stimulating professional relationships.

Respecting diversity means allowing everyone to find their own place. Our diversity and the value we place on differences are strengths which enrich our shared experience. Essilor is dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion, and these values are demonstrated daily at every level of the organization as we work to fulfill our mission.

    Brand Sales Consultant Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Henderson, NV
    Declined Offer
    Negative Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Essilor (Henderson, NV) in May 2017.

    Interview

This process was entirely too long and honestly somewhat absurd. It started with a phone screen with an outside recruiter, moved to a video interview through a platform called HireVue, then to a phone interview with the hiring manager, then a phone interview with her boss, then a Gallup assessment for personality/ sales process acumen, and THEN would have moved to an in person interview (and honestly, who knows how many) had I not been offered and accepted another job. Overall poor communication and far too labor intensive of a process for the OTE and limited upside potential of this company.

    Interview Questions

    • All very rote- basic sales interview questions.

Tell me about how you manage your territory?
Describe a time when you were able to expand sales within an existing account
      How do you prospect?
What does your initial appointment with a prospect look like?   Answer Question
