Meet Donna through our #EsuranceAssociateStory! Donna has been with Esurance for 15 years as a dedicated employee and a member of our #eVETS #ERG. Throughout this time, we’ve grown to know Donna and her family quite well. Donna's daughter informed her team that Donna’s son would be returning home from his deployment in Afghanistan and Iraq. Her daughter collaborated with both her manager and her team to create a very special surprise for her, as she had no idea about his return. Please take a moment to share in Donna's joy as she sees her son for the first time since his departure 7 months ago. After reuniting with her son, Donna took time off to spend quality time with her family! At #Esurance, our team members become more than just coworkers. and most importantly, we support our veterans, active military service members, and their families. I have been working at Esurance (Less than a year)
From day one the company invests in you as a person not just a working statistic. They give you 360 support in gaining whatever license or certification you need to be productive in the role, they handpicked you for. They are personable with you to gain insight on how to help you grow. Not only professionally but as an individual person. There is some type of stewardship for nearly every facet of life. My first week, I was wrangled into the Womens Innovation Network (WIN), and I am just a Contractor, but they didn't treat me any different. It gave me an opportunity to bond with my onsite peers and coworkers, and being so technologically advanced, my coworkers at each site. There is teleconference and video chat at the turn of every corner, from coast to coast. Their vast network is not only business initiative but support as well. And, if you are not there physically, mentally, emotionally, or financially, TRUST ME, they will put you on a path to get you there! #ServantLeadership
If you are not open to constructive criticism and feedback, whether warranted or not, this may not be the place for you. They are about #Growth by all means.
Advice to Management
Offering a minimal one week of formal classroom training for every role.
I applied in-person. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Esurance (Greenville, SC).
I started my application process by attending a job fair for Esurance. The interviews there were relatively brief, but they field a large number of applicants so it was to be expected. I had never attended a job fair before, but my impression of theirs was a good one. The process was smooth and with short delays. The interviewing staff were friendly and pleasant (a recurring theme throughout my hiring process).
After the job fair, Esurance followed up with an in person interview with two managers, about 30 minutes of job shadow time to get a feel for the job, and a few aptitude tests.
I was then made an offer over the phone a short time after that second round of interviews. Overall I had a very pleasant hiring experience and thus far am extremely pleased with how well my new employer treats their staff.
