I have been working at Evantage full-time (More than a year)
I honestly didn't realize what I was getting myself into when I first took the job, but so glad I did. I thought I was just going to have a simple job to pay my bills, but I have gained way more than I could ask for. There's plenty of room for growth and advancement for hard workers like myself. Every company try their best to create an amazing environment, Evantage has it. The people are genuine, supportive and they really are a family here. For a small company they offer great benefits like a base pay, additional commission, extra incentives for top performers and even weekly reimbursements. Can't say that about a lot of other companies. I'm not knocking on doors or any outside sales!
None. I love it here!
Advice to Management
Continue t to push your people to get outside of their comfort zone in order to achieve new heights in their career.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Evantage (Plano, TX) in October 2015.
I was able to apply online very easy through ZipRecruiter, and then within 3 days I was contacted by HR. They discussed the position over the phone that I had applied to, and I scheduled an interview at the Plano office. They also emailed me some information, and I found it very helpful so I could be prepared for the interview. I understood what I was interviewing for and even prepared some questions. On the day of my interview, I was excited because I was able to interview with the President and Founder of the company. I was able to explain why my background would be a good fit, and was able to ask as many questions as I had. I was grateful that he took the time to answer them, and that he took interest in my career goals. I scheduled a 2nd interview for later that week and was able to spend 2 hours with someone that showed me the day to day operations of the promotional sales work I would be doing. The work with clients in Big Box retailers, and this day I followed them to a Best Buy store. Not only was the team members great, and answered questions, but I was very impressed on how they could help customers, and even the other employees at the store. I saw them help a customer get faster internet, and then when I finished observing I waited for my final interview. During the final interview, I expressed why I could not only handle the job, but also how excited I would be to learn and grow into managment roles. I could tell everyone there was very positive and helpful, and that is one thing I was really looking for in a company. I was also very impressed on the amount of growth the company has had in just 9 years. I was offered the job, which I gladly accepted.
