I worked at Evergreen State College part-time (More than a year)

Great school with passionate students who really want to be there. Invigorating environment for faculty--lots of opportunity to continual learn and grow. Benefits for half-time work.

Part time employees are second-class citizens-don't have the same access to opportunities as full time people.

    Advice to Management

They just hired a new president who seems to be taking up the reins admirably. Keep listening to faculty and students and keep true to what makes Evergreen unique.

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Evergreen State College (Olympia, WA) in May 2013.

I went in, sat down with the manager, talked about what's been going on, very casual. Then he proceeded to explain the job to me, all the bits and pieces that make up the work that I'd be doing, and then he said that he was prepared to hire me right then and there. I was incredulous, but hey I'll take it. We shook hands and a few days later I filled out some paper work and viola, I was gainfully employed by Evergreen State College
