We recently talked to some of our engineers to understand why they joined our team, and what they love about it. Here's what they had to say:

  • You will quickly come to realize that your work matters here. You will quickly have product ownership, feel like you're adding value, and creating impact. We're fast too - we have monthly releases, so you'll see the fruits of your labor.
  • You have freedom to explore and try new things and bring your ideas to the table. There's no hierarchy - it's a best idea wins culture. The team is highly collaborative and works together to find the best answer that helps solve our customer's challenges.
  • We are an experienced team with a wide range of experience - the engineers feel like this gives them the best opportunity to have room for growth, mentorship, and development.
  • We are a small, close knit team that's grown year over year. But all the above things are still important to us and we'll work hard to keep that culture.

Come join our customer success team! The CS team is the heart of our company - they not only are the voice of our customers and work hard to help their customers achieve their goals, but they also work cross functionally with almost every team in our company (product, marketing, sales, engineering, etc.).

When we ask our CS team what they value most about their jobs, here are some of the things they had to say:

  • Impact: you have immediate impact in your role here. As an associate, you have more autonomy than you might in a similar role at a different company. You're able to make strategic recommendations that you know will impact and improve your customer's business.
  • Work life balance: Even as a fast paced, high growth company, everyone works hard when they're at the office, but also able to shut down and enjoy life outside of the office.
  • People & Culture: It's a really great group of people, which makes for a great work environment. Your voice is always heard, and you can see that in all interactions with cross functional teams, as well as the leadership team.
  • Career growth: We've seen a lot of our customer success team members move into different parts of the organization. They've gone into sales, marketing, and product. They've also moved into more senior and different roles within the customer success organization. The company has really invested time into thinking about growing and developing the talent on the team.

Eversight is full of hard-working, smart, invested people. The software tools are impressive and powerful, and leadership is very direct and transparent about where the company is headed.

Not a con, but you will absolutely be challenged by every person to perform your best - everyone is counting on it! Current benefits package is a bit pricey, especially to cover a spouse.

    Average Interview

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Eversight (Palo Alto, CA) in April 2019.

I was reached out to via external recruiter, who I talked to and then they went dead silent for a whole month. I thought I hadn't gotten an interview, but it turns out they were just busy, after all they are a startup. After the silent period, the second contact (after application), phone screen, onsite, and decision all happened within 1.5 weeks, which Eversight handled with professionalism and clear communication.

I really enjoyed my interview, Jacob is actually pretty funny like all the other reviews state. I never felt like I was wasting my time and they have definitely improved their process recently compared to some of their other reviews here. The interviewers were punctual, respectful, gave feedback, and seemed very honest and transparent about my performance during the interview. I was interviewed by a couple engineers and the CTO (Jacob), with some medium difficulty technical questions focused on my thought process and explanation, alternative solutions, and optimizations. There were more behavioral / background questions rather than technical compared to most companies I've interviewed at, which I welcomed as many interviews nowadays seem centered on your ability to regurgitate memorized code.

I was offered a water bottle while interviewing onsite, which I welcomed as my best friend and moral supporter during my interview. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and am excited to work for Eversight!
