Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

ProsEvolutionIQ is not only a great place to work, but the product truly helps carriers be more efficient, and helps injured workers return to the work place sooner. It feels good to be part of a tech
ConsIt's a fast paced startup environment which may not be for everyone.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at EvolutionIQ (United States)
InterviewInitial screen was great. My skills and recent startup experience fit the position 100% and I was moved on to the next round. I was interviewed by a VP who showed up to the online interview in a hoodie. Red flag #1. At least 3 times during the session the "VP" asked a question and then while I was answering it their eyes were focused on their screen with eyeballs going back and forth clearly reading emails or instant messages. Not even paying attention. Red flag #2. To not be fully present while interviewing someone demonstrates an incredible lack of professional maturity not to mention a lack of respect for the person on the other end. Despite the persons expertise and technical skills, they have no business being a VP since they lack the advanced soft skills required for that type of position. This experience told me as much about the company itself as it did about the individual interviewing me.
