I worked at Excel Electrocircuit full-time (Less than a year)
Got me a job relative to my degree with specialization in process engineering.
Owners are extremely closed-minded. They ask you to perform activities that are against government regulations (dumping waste water uncontrolled into the sewer, etc.). They work every employee to the dime - and more if they can - but offer little to no respect in return. They hired me at about $20,000 as an engineer with a bachelor's degree because I was desperate for work. President is super paranoid and has close employees who gossip info to him. Owners are extremely cheap (I was allowed to use only one pair of rubber gloves per day). There is a lack of specialization - most people working are all foreigners from India who are trained to perform functions of skilled professional without understanding basic concepts of what they do. I think this place needs to be raided for everything from bookkeeping to employee rights to environmental issues. Absolutely the worst experience of my professional life.
Advice to Management
Resign and replace yourselves with someone who cares for more than just making money.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took a week. I interviewed at Excel Electrocircuit (Lake Orion, MI) in April 2009.
Had a panel interview
