The Midwest Division, based out of Greenwood Indiana – located about twenty minutes south of Indianapolis, is comprised of eight districts located in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, Tennessee and North Carolina. The company HQ has a great culture. In a lot of ways it feels a little more like a small company because you can get to know everyone in your department pretty easily. I've had regular opportunities to interact with executives.
We hear from our executive team formally every quarter and have opportunities to interact with them fairly regularly. It's great to be able to hear the vision for the company and to be able to buy in to the direction we're going.
The company invests a lot in their people, culture, and creating a great environment to work in. We have a newly remodeled workspace in a great location away from a lot of the congestion of the valley.
Culture varies a bit depending on department. That seems pretty normal though.
Advice to Management
Keep on doing what you're doing. I love the direction we're going. I love that feedback is actively sought after, listened to, and acted on.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Extra Space.
Typical interview process. You start off with a phone interview basically where they ask questions about previous experience and the "tell me about yourself" request. Then they continue by telling you their experience with the company and the company's history and a brief description of the job. Then you schedule the In Face interview and from their its an extremely typical interview
