I worked at Eyemart Express full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I feel like I was given a lot of opportunities to learn new things
Upper management made me feel appreciated
Free glasses and eye exams are a plus
Very family oriented, understanding when it comes to personal or family issues as well as welcoming them as patients and giving nice discounts.
AWESOME staff, fun to work with, really helped me learn and didn't get mad if I made a mistake.

    Cons

Patients and customers can be VERY rude and VERY entitled so sometimes you need to have a thick skin and a calm demeanor
High turnover can cause poor work/life balance, but they seem to be getting a better handle on that.
    Saturdays are mandatory

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to be transparent with your employees, and remember to reward hard work and great attendance, even if it's just with your words.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Eyemart Express (Branson, MO) in March 2016.

    Interview

This was a one on one process. I was invited in and applied with the area manager. I was told to wait and interview with the store manager. however later they let me leave saying she was busy and she would call me. I never received a call. This was disheartening as the area manager lead me to believe I had the position.
