Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

    I applied through an employee referral I interviewed at FARFETCH (Porto, Oporto) in May 2022

    Interview

    From the first contact it was easy to perceive the good vibes, the positivity in the analysis of situations and above all the feeling of belonging that everyone shared with me.

    It was without a doubt the best recruitment process I have ever gone through.

    I classify the difficulty of the interviews as average, perhaps due to the fact that the functions I would perform would be a follow-up to what I already do on a day-to-day basis, but also because of all the informalism provided by Farfetch.

    I didn't accept the proposal, but I spent hours thinking about the answer. The proposal was good and close to my current salary, however as I had already taken a step back in the past to be able to grow in a company, I did not feel that today I would be motivated to do the same again.

    Maybe it was the moment. In the future, Farfetch will remain on my wishlist. And I believe that we will still do good things together.
    Interview

    I didn't feel like they were following any framework as described in some comments. Anyone who is a professional and knows what responsibility means realizes that there is a set of questions that lead to answers that allow for the identification of profile patterns, and at this point I think Farfetch is doing very well in this process. I identify with the questions that were asked because I understand their objectivity and importance. So congratulations.
