I have been working at Federal Signal full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great work/life balance
    Good benefits
    Acceptable pay
    Relaxed work environment

    Cons

Just that my department (customer service) closes at 430p but I (just 1 person out of 5) have to stay until 6p. Not really sure why we don't all get off at 430p but I do mind the later schedule because I am able to "sleep in".

    Advice to Management

So far management is doing a great job. No complaints

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Federal Signal (University Park, IL) in March 2017.

    Interview

    1) Phone screening (15min) just and overview of the company and to get a little background on you to see if you are a good fit to proceed.
    2) In-person interview (30min) sat with 2 managers and they told me all about the position and asked pretty basic questions that weren't too hard to answer like my work history right from my resume.
    3) 2nd in-person interview (20 min) with another manager who tailored a few different questions at me and gave me a bit more detail to what I would actually be doing day-to-day.
    4) Call from HR with my contingent offer of employment.

It was a very smooth, easy and comfortable process. (For me at least)

    Interview Questions

    • The one question that stood out to me was:

How do you deal with "cliques"?
(a small group of people, with shared interests or other features in common, who spend time together and do not readily allow others to join them.)
