It seems partners are much more flexible with associates who have kids than with those who don’t. If it’s okay for my colleague with a kid to leave at 5 pm and log on later, why isn’t that the same for me (no kids)? My obligations might be different, but I still have a life and want to be able to do certain things, like catch that evening workout class or cook dinner for my partner. As you can probably tell, my firm is operating 100% in person. There is no point here — I’m just whining.

Can we start naming firms that are expecting associates to go back to the office five days a week with no wfh flexibility? And which firms are allowing associates to wfh with more flexibility post-pandemic? I hoped there would be a change to the general biglaw face time requirement but seems like some firms are going right back to 2019 standards.

I applied online. I interviewed at Fein Such Kahn & Shepard (Parsippany, NJ)
InterviewHad an interview a couple of weeks ago for the Assistant Case Manager position . I met with Mr.Golub, who is one of the managing attorneys ,as well as Jessica, who is the head of HR department. Both were very nice and professional. After meeting them both, I have realized that reviews on glassdoor are not that accurate. Jessica, from the HR department is a very pleasant person, and after speaking with her I have realized that as long as you do your job, HR will have no reason to be "rude" to you, ( as it was mentioned in one of the reviews). Mr.Golub was very nice and professional. He made the whole interview process very comfortable and easy. Jessica was very straight -forward and honest, which was very helpful. Unfortunately, this morning I have found out that the company decided to go with another candidate, so you know my review cannot be bias.
There was more than one :) Just do your homework, and you will do just fine.Answer Question
