First American was founded in Palm Springs, CA in 1990. Three years later, Neil Randel, a veteran of the merchant services industry, invested in and relocated the small organization to Fort Worth, TX. Mr. Randel, now CEO, was growing increasingly uneasy with the state of the industry in the '80s and '90s. At that time, providing a suite of payment solutions to businesses required multiple third-party contracts and separate service centers—a structure that placed merchant service, and ultimately, satisfaction, in the hands of others. Mr. Randel envisioned his company providing a broad suite of solutions to businesses from a single source; and he began crafting First American in this image.
Over the next twenty years, Mr. Randel assembled payment solutions, through internal development and acquisition, to establish First American as THE single-source provider of payment solutions for small and mid-sized businesses. His vision is exemplified today with an in-house product and service suite, proprietary back-end settlement platform, and a full-service support center that services over 140,000 businesses throughout the United States.

Great benefits and extra perks that the H/R team bring so employees. Fast-paced environment, so there is never a dull moment. The payments processing industry is ever changing and this leads to great opportunities to grow professionally.
Sometimes the pace gets exhausting, but that's why we have vacation days, right? Communication to support staff is a bit lacking.
Advice to Management
Communicate to lower level employees more often and with meaningful information, let them see you and hear some of the innovative ways the business is making its claim in the industry.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at First American Payment Systems (Fort Worth, TX) in June 2015.
Imerviewed with Vp and supervisor. Explained job and left room for questions. Vp kept stating that i was applying for specialist role and that there is no room for advancement at least 3 times. . also indicated with bonus that everyone meets except 2 employees missesd 1 month over past year would get me closer to asking salary. I was taught never calculate bonus with salary because its not guaranteed but after hearing it numerous times i did ask more questions on it since clearly its part of salary. I was told its possible for me to make close ti supervisor but probably not because shes been there awhile. MY THOUGHT IS YOU ARE NOT MAKING SENSE, YOU STATE THAT IM APPLYING FOR SPECIALIST AND. THAT THERE IS NO ROOM TO GROW IN THAT DEPARTMENT. So why the comparison with the supervisor? They dont call you back when they state they will.
