I worked at First Insurance Company of Hawaii full-time (More than a year)
Benefits, classes offered during work, First insurance contribution to the community, team sports, upper management cares about their employees
the pay is a little less than other insurance companies offer, but the stress levels are less as well.
The process took a week. I interviewed at First Insurance Company of Hawaii.
I submitted my online application on a Thursday and the following Monday I received a call from a kind woman asking me a few follow up questions, how long I'll be living here why I'm looking to switch jobs etc. Then she asked to schedule and interview in person. She was very accommodating to my schedule but also up front with me and told me the sooner the better. I interviewed with the woman in HR for about 20 minutes. Asked a few behavioral and situational questions but mainly just getting a feel for me to see if I'd be a good fit. Then went to an interview with two supervisors from the department I was interviewing for. They had more situational and behavioral questions. They were a bit more serious but still very kind and personable. It really seemed like they were just trying to see if I would be a good fit for the company and the position. The interview ended and then the next day I got a call with an offer, and I accepted starting next week and very excited!
