    Pros

First Option provides a stable place of employment in an unstable industry.

First Option has a file flow process that ensures your customers will be wow'd each transaction.

First Option isn't afraid to invest in the Loan Officers and their Real Estate partners.

    Cons

Some branches leadership isn't as strong as others.

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on the process from the point a loan is pushed into UW, which will allow our competitive advantage of speed to blossom in our markets. That also allows you to be the type of lender that can plug who knew branches into your company.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at First Option Mortgage (Atlanta, GA).

    Interview

The interview was flexible, more of a fluid conversation than a formal Q&A. Usually the interview will be with either the HR head or the department head (or both), depending on the role and whether you are applying to a branch or corporate. These aren't terribly difficult interviews, but you should be prepared to talk about yourself, your experience, and why you would be a good fit for the job. You should also be prepared to ask intelligent questions about the company, role, and industry.

    Interview Questions

    • Describe how your previous experience and personality will make you a good fit for this role.   1 Answer

    Negotiation

There is no room to negotiate on entry-level positions.
