Advice to Management
Managers truly care about you and let you think outside the box. It could feel like we’re being micromanaged but it’s not like that at all. It’s just expectations being set but you have the ability to run with those expectations on how you would like. I worked for Bank of America for many years and would go in afraid to not cross a T or . an I because I’d get fired. I came to First Tech and grew super fast. I have amazing managers to learn from that believe in me. I can honestly say I’m happy. Also, don’t feel like First Tech is not stressful it could be but it’s not the type of stress where you feel you’re going to lose your job it’s a type of stress to me where I don’t want to let my leaders or teammates down because they believe in me.
I applied online. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at First Tech Federal Credit Union (Hillsboro, OR) in March 2017.
2 Phone interviews, one with HR, and one with hiring manager. Then an in-person interview with the hiring manager. They took 3 months to respond, going almost completely radio silent--the HR contact didn't know what was going on.
