I worked at Five Below part-time
Fun environment,easy shifts,20% employee discount.
Over employed, few hours, On-Calls with out pay (they expect you to not make plans just in case the employee doesn't show up, which only happens .05% ), not enough staff on busy days, expect to ask every customer for their email as your scores will be reported, 4 hours shifts normally, they expect perfection and understanding from employee's with out necessary training. Average 8 hours per week.
Advice to Management
Every one hates on-calls, leave it up to the employee's to find someone to work for them instead of wasting their unpaid days. Start treating employee's with value instead of forcing them to collect email with every customer, screwing up their days off with on calls, and lack of training.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Five Below.
The interview process was very basic and simple. It consisted of basic interview questions that help them to gain info from you. I was offered the job on the spot.
