What do we look for here at Flagship? The best people. All of our therapists have to be the best in their field, or at least passionate about becoming the best. We offer rewarding physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy positions in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
These team members evaluate, treat and supervise the administration of physical therapy treatment and services to geriatric patients. Our people must demonstrate and exercise the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care that’s appropriate for the age of the patients served. Candidates are expected to be graduates of an APTA-accredited, four-year master’s level physical therapy school (or equivalent for foreign-trained therapists) and have a current license in applicable states.
These team members perform a variety of functions that involve evaluation and treatment of patients in a variety of clinical settings, as well as supervising the activities of the occupational therapy assistant. Caseloads vary in number and diagnosis. Successful candidates will have a professional state license in occupational therapy, certification from NBCOT or eligibility to obtain certification, the ability to demonstrate and exercise knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate for the age of patient served, ability to transfer/lift 150 pounds, and the ability to assess and interpret data relative to age/status of patients.
Speech therapists focus on maximizing the communicative and swallowing competence of each geriatric patient. They provide comprehensive diagnostic, consultative, and treatment services for patients with language, speech and swallowing disorders. Candidates are expected to have a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology, a Certificate of Clinical Competence, and a current license in applicable states.

-Great reputation with patients because of the therapists.
-Fairly steady work, with management trying to get you your hours by having you travel nearby even during the "famine" eras of SNF work.
-Are pretty good about offering bonuses if you are willing to travel far (2+ hours) to cover another building.
-all patients are set at RU levels even when not appropriate
-Rule by intimidation, you are constantly being warned you will be written up or could lose your job rather than getting any positive reinforcement,
-Policies and procedures change at the drop of a hat or are presented by COO on webinars but are not implemented as we are told.
-Inservices that would be beneficial for staff are given by coo at quarterly meetings to managers who are supposed to come back to share the information with the staff but do not
Advice to Management
Put your employees first, listen when they report their unhappiness, and be consistent with policy implementations!
The Recruiter was amazing! Helpful with orientation and continued support is provided 10 years later! Felt comfortable from the initial phone call and throughout the entire process!
