I have been working at Flagstaff Medical Center full-time (More than 5 years)
Good ratios, great coworkers. Nice mountain town to live in. We have an IV, cart teams. Great clinical manager. Flexible schedule.
Very expensive to live in Flagstaff. High turnover due to poor economy. Huge disconnect between upper management and front line care givers. Impossible expectations.
Advice to Management
Take a couple of days and shadow a nurse before adding more responsibilities.
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Flagstaff Medical Center (Flagstaff, AZ) in February 2015.
Phone interview was with a panel of managers on a conference call. Technical questions were most abundant, what I would do in certain situations on the bench such as traumas or contaminated specimens, etc. All of the managers that interviewed me are no longer with the company so the interview experience moving forward might not be the same.
