    Controls Engineer Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Wichita, KS

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Flint Hills Resources (Wichita, KS) in February 2020.

    Interview

Received a phone interview a week after applying. Booked an in person interview a week later. FHR does a great job of booking the in-person interview. They flew me out to Kansas, gave me spending money, and put me up in a hotel. The next day I had a 4 hour interview that went really well. I truly nailed the interview and knew I would get a job offer soon. And then 4 weeks passed without hearing a single word from them....

Totally ghosted. Not a single word. I had to call several times and talk to several people before I could confirm my fate. "Sorry, we hired an internal candidate," was the answer I got. Why even interview outside candidates if that was what they were going to do?

I guess I'm better off not getting the job if that's the games they play there.

oh, I agree with everyone else, they ask a bunch of vague situational questions to see how you will react. I studied up on them in the days leading up to the interview and knocked them out of the park but I guess that wasn't good enough for them.

Koch receives Military Friendly® designation for second straight year

The honor comes thanks in large part to the work military relations manager and retired U.S. Army Colonel John Buckley has done to make Koch Industries a welcoming workplace for military veterans, active reservists and their spouses. To earn this distinction, companies must demonstrate a commitment to embracing and enabling veteran employment.
