Advice to Management
Hang in there.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at FloaTec (Houston, TX) in May 2010.
I went to get interviewed for Tendon Engineer position (Regular - Full time). Looking at my background and experience, engineering director is very sensible guy and he did offered me a Naval Architect Internship (3 month) with possibility of Regular employment after 3 months time. The interview was very straightforward. They were interested from my UG background. But, I think, they could have offered me regular employment from the day 1 because I had 1 year of experience and sufficiently good grades (GPA 3.9+).
No negotiation (they told me to be paid as an intern, $25 hourly)
