Members of our Executive Leadership team spoke at the 2023 Community Oncology Conference this week, hosted by the Community Oncology Alliance (COA). The conference brought together industry stakeholders to envision the future of cancer care, with a focus on topics that include payment reform, public policy and regulation, clinical developments and business strategies. Various Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute team members from different departments attended the conference.

Tour our state-of-the-art pathology laboratory in Fort Myers, FL, with next-generation sequencing (NGS) capabilities — testing available to patients throughout our clinics statewide! NGS allows Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) pathologists to detect mutations in hundreds of different genes simultaneously, giving a more unique understanding of each patient's individual diagnosis. Doing so produces information to personalize a patient's therapy — increasing cure rates and extending lives. When oncologists know the specific genetic alteration a patient has, there may be a therapy that actually targets that exact mutation, as well as ongoing clinical trials the patient would be eligible for based on their molecular profile. FCS continues to expand our robust in-house testing capabilities so that we can provide our patients with fast and accurate diagnosis and treatment planning, which leads to more positive outcomes.
