I have been working at Florida Department of Financial Services full-time (More than a year)
I have liked the ability to go to my supervisors with creative solutions. They are willing to hear my advice.
Some of the management feels a need to keep information close to the vest and seem to get a sense of power by doing so. I think this may only be in isolated cases as most people I know report having great management. The pay is awful and raises are scarce.
Advice to Management
When everyone under one manager quits in rapid succession, it's time to look more deeply into what is going wrong with that manager.
